A metroidvania action-adventure for a "softer" (bottomed) crowd!

Step into the world of the Scholia Diaspros in a way you might never have considered! Welcome to the Ventways! You may have heard of Backrooms, or even Cellarways, but these are a whole different type of beast!

Snaking through and between all areas of the main campus, these ducts, vents, and service tunnels are much like the veins and bloodstream o the scholia! And let's just say its not uncommon for a bit of congestive failure to turn the air in the dorms quite ripe.

Like it or not, crinkle-doll, that is YOUR job to rectify. Enjoy your scenic "at-moment-of-consciousness" conscription into the Darkling Ventway Custodial Corps. (I guess there's no such thing as a free lunch, huh?")

Play as one of four Darkling Dolls, ordinary dolls that at some point have become inhabited by a shadowy spirit of mischief or mayhem or melancholy- but sometimes also manic cheer!

Play as Toxique the toxic bubble lobbing bab-brained heroine, Simone the doll whom crinkled in from a much more serious vent, Shezza the cool and collected little wizard, and Beatrix or Beato... who likes to beat things de- clean with her cleaver.

• Four different playstyles: From Toxique's toxic arc splashes, Shezza's pinpoint electromagic, to Simone's piercing drill charges and Beato's up-close heavy cleaver chops.
• A shadow dodge mechanic for when things get damp and dicey!
• Four-way attack and near-unlimited 2D movement (like a Metroidvania!)
• Dozens of items and power-ups that will become more and more useful as the game progresses. From the map-dominating Rescue Beacon, which can send you to the local mainframe room in a pinch, or just a thick pack of diapers: if you loot hard, you will always be prepared!
• Video Cut-Scenes of the protagonists AND of "daily life" at the Scholia Diaspros but viewed from a decidedly "behind the scenes (or walls!) perspective!"
• At least 50+ unique Scholia Monsters in the coming levels and updates, all deriving from the Scholia Diaspros' massive 240+ monster Bestiary!
• Plug-and-Play Controller Support: Full native gamepad / Xbox controller support alongside keyboard controls, complete with an in-game diagram guide so you're never fumbling with buttons.

Game's Current Progress Level: 21%

• 20%: code, map work, sprites, assets, monster and boss templates, systems and mechanics
• ~1%:   Level implementation (this demo!)

This might give you an idea of just about how much I plan to create for a full-sized version o this game: give or take approximately 80 times more content than is currently playable, and possibly up to 2 hours or more of cutscene audio and video.
